1961 Born in Aachen/Germany.
1980 – 1982 training as a bank clerk in Aachen.
1982 – 1988 study of law and economics at the universities of Bonn and Cologne.

1989 – 1997 academic assistant at the Institute of Commercial and Economic Law of the University of Bonn (chair held by Professor Dr. Dr. h.c. mult. Marcus Lutter and subsequently Professor Dr. Dres. h.c. Karsten Schmidt).

1995 – 1997 independent lawyer in Aachen.

1997 – 2013 lawyer (since 2000 partner) at CMS Hasche Sigle in Frankfurt am Main.

Since 2013 member of the bar of the German Federal Supreme Court (Rechtsanwältin beim Bundesgerichtshof).
